I retired in 2004 and have been enjoying my retirement participating in Civil War/Indian War reenactments & living history events. When I'm not out running all over the country in my RV, I mess around with my HO guage model railroad at my home in Midland. During the summer, I volunteer as a Docent on the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad in Chama, New Mexico. It is a historic narrow gauge railroad originally built in 1880 by the Denver & Rio Grande and is part of the same system as the Durango & Silverton Railroad. If you're out in that part of the country during the summer, stop by and see me. The 64 mile train ride is the MOST scenic in the United States traveling through mountains, a magnificent gorge and two tunnels.

Owned Sand Beach Skating and Swimming pool for 40 plus years. Still live in the skating rink and have leased the business to the Red River Roller Derby. Was married for 45 years before being widowed. Married a long time friend on May 26, 2013 at the Skating Rink. It was a fun wedding and we have been having lots of fun since we started dating. Much laughter and many things in common. Have two grandchildren, three step grandchldren, and five new grandchildren. Have two children and now two more children since the marriage. I am still a high school counselor after 27 years and love my job so I have signed up for at least one more year.
